Two Dead, Over 20 Injured After Bus Overturns in Delhi’s Karol Bagh

A tragic road accident in Karol Bagh claimed two lives and left more than 20 passengers injured when a double-decker bus overturned in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident took place near the Jhandewalan Temple, a busy area in central Delhi.

According to officials, the bus was travelling from Jaipur to Delhi with around 25 passengers on board. The Delhi Fire Department received an emergency call at approximately 1:08 am, after which multiple rescue teams and police personnel rushed to the spot.

Rescuers worked to evacuate passengers trapped inside the overturned vehicle. The injured were shifted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for treatment, where several remain under medical observation.

Preliminary findings suggest that the driver may have lost control of the bus, leading to the accident. However, authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact sequence of events and identify any negligence.
