Narendra Modi inaugurated the Noida International Airport, calling it a transformative project for Uttar Pradesh and the entire country. The airport is expected to play a vital role in boosting regional development and strengthening India’s aviation network.
In his speech, the Prime Minister said the airport would bring new opportunities for employment, business, and tourism. He added that better air connectivity would help smaller cities and regions integrate more closely with global markets.
Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu said that the airport is designed to go beyond traditional aviation functions. According to him, the aerotropolis model will create a hub of economic activities, including logistics, warehousing, and commercial development.
The airport’s first phase, developed at a cost of over ₹11,200 crore, features a 4-kilometre runway and is ready for international operations. Senior leaders including Yogi Adityanath and Anandiben Patel attended the inauguration ceremony.
